Selective Process
Every year the GPG/UFSC publishes a student selection call for Master and Doctorate degrees, establishing the number of places, deadlines, method of evaluation, criteria for student’s selection and the required documentation.
Foreign students are encouraged to attend to the Master or Doctorate programs in Geography at UFSC. The possible admittance arrangements are:
– To take part in the regular admittance GPG process. The selection is annual and takes place in the second half of each year.
– Graduate Students Agreement Program (PEC-PG): students from countries with which Brazil maintains Educational, Cultural or Science and Technology cooperation agreements.
– Candidates with granted scholarship from development agencies of their home countries can join the GPG/UFSC at any time. A contact with a possible supervisor in needed, as well as the submission of the same documentation requested in the regular admission process.
